Eating Healthy Advice from The Holistic Chef:
Everything we choose to consume is an investment in our health, wellbeing and future.. Invest wisely, but try not obsess either… I follow an 80/20 rule. Strive to find a healthy and realistic balance that works for you. Changing and improving your diet and lifestyle can be a very daunting and challenging journey… we all have an emotional attachment to what we eat, which has evolved since, and even before our birth into this beautiful world..
For lasting, positive and sustainable success, the secret is to make small, regular, enjoyable and lasting changes over a period of time.. Once you feel the benefits you will not want to go back.. If you slip up and succumb to temptation, don’t freak out.. Everyday is a new day and a chance to start afresh. The foods we choose to eat is an habitual process, it takes time to recondition and train the mind..
‘Choose life’ – Choose real foods that come from the earth and oceans.. Not foods that have been processed in a factory. Interrogate your food and cultivate more conscious awareness of what you are actually putting inside your body. We must take more responsibility for our own health by what we consume..
