Jamie Raftery hails from County Galway in the beautiful West Ireland, he has being living and working in London and the South West for 13 years and has been happily settled in the Cotswolds for the last 4 years, previously Executive Chef at Lower Slaughter Manor.
Jamie has acquired a vast wealth of culinary knowledge over the last 18 years. He earned his stripes with extensive work under the tutelage of Michael Caines, Gordon Ramsay, Thomas Keller and Corey Lee as well as work stages with Heston Bluementhal and Rasmus Koefoed of Geranium in Copenhagen.
Now..’The Holistic Chef’ Jamie is refining and defining his approach to plant based cookery, focusing on cooking delicious and nutritious food that nourishes the body, mind and soul. Raw food and fermentation are an extensive part of his repertoire. Jamie’s approach is inspired by the Eastern philosophies of Macrobiotics and Ayurveda. His mission is to educate, inspire and empower people to live a healthier and happier life by choosing to consume more nutritious foods on a daily basis. After all ‘Our health is our true wealth’ ‘Our food choices shape our destiny’ Jamie shares his knowledge and skills through international consultancy projects, cookery school workshops, bespoke inspiration sessions, pop up dining events and retreats.
